Challenging Justine Greening on Funding Cuts

I recently challenged the Secretary of State for Education Justine Greening in the Commons about underspending on aged 16-19 education. As well as cutting overall funding three times since 2011, her department has also underspent on 16-19 education by £135 million in 2014/15, and £132 million in 2015/16.

She dodged the question because the government knows it is underfunding our education system and letting our young people down. I will continue to press the government on this issue and demand that it funds our education system properly, ensuring the very best training and learning opportunities for the people of Weaver Vale.
