Mike Amesbury Member of Parliament for Weaver Vale
Recently I spoke at a National Association of Headteachers event in Crewe with my Labour colleague Laura Smith MP (Crewe and Nantwich) and Councillor Nicole Meardon in my capacity as Shadow Employment Minister.
I told the event that a total of £3.2 million will be lost from the budgets of the 42 schools in my constituency, and this is resulting in staffing cuts. I also reiterated my belief that schools dont need ‘little extras’ – they need money for books, buildings and to fully pay their staff.
