Mike and Labour campaigners with a rail fare poster, up so early you'd think there was a general election soon

It was an early start this morning talking to commuters at Frodsham station, commuters across Weaver Vale currently face delayed trains, packed in like sardines and year on year fare increases!

Your rail fares have jumped 40% under Tories. They’re rising another 2.6% the week after Christmas. Since the Tories privatised rail, £70bn has been handed to railways in subsidies alone.

Privatization has created one of the most complex, exploitative and expensive ticketing systems in the world. Labour will scrap the bewildering and outdated fares and ticketing system that discriminates against part-time workers, discourages rail travel and excludes the young and low paid.

A Labour government would ensure:
✂️Regulated fares cut by 33% to save the average commuter £1000+ a year
🚄Fair fares for part-time workers
💳Simple, London-style ticketing across the nation
👦Free travel for 16 & under
Run for passengers, not profit

Rail passengers who want to save hundreds or thousands of pounds next year need to vote Labour on 12th December.
