A wellbeing hub is now being delivered from the café in Frodsham’s Castle Park.
The Hive is the result of community groups such as Bee Friends Frodsham working together, with the town’s honey bee symbol reflected in the names.
Combating loneliness and isolation through group activities is the aim.
One of the groups that will meet at The Hive every Tuesday is run by volunteers from the Older People Active Lives (OPAL) charity. A men’s group also meet there with their motto, It’s Good to Talk. Other organisations intend to promote mindfulness and help those coping with bereavement.
Bee Friends will provide connectivity to all the groups and statutory services. Volunteers from Bee Friends will run a drop-in every Friday, between 10am and 5pm. Anyone is welcome to pop in for a chat over a cuppa.
